Brazilian Fashion Designer, Eliane Aguiar, has been creating a faithful following amongst her many fans in her native country. There they've known her for years as the charismatic star of the soap operas Andando Nas Nuvens and Desejos De Mulher, which air on the biggest Brazilian network TV GLOBO. But acting her way into the hearts of her viewers is only one side of this talented young woman. She studied law at the University Estacio De Sá in Rio De Janeiro. Always interested in social problems and politics, Eliane has been continually active in the local political scene, even considering running for local office. Possessing a strong sense of ethics, Eliane has always felt the need to help the more unfortunate members of society. Her caring extends to animals as well. She routinely donates money to save and help abandoned and mistreated animals. However, her love of fashion was too strong to play second fiddle. Even as a child she remembers watching exercise shows on television and thinking why are they dressed so plainly, where is the glamour? Wouldn't they have more fun if they could exercise dressed in beautiful clothes that have an air of elegance? This is at least partly what Eliane seems to have set out to do: revolutionize the way the female sex goes to work out. Exciting, sexy, sleek, and fun are words that describe her incredibly vibrant collection of sportswear.

"Dress is Art!" Eliane firmly declares. Her enthusiasm is impressive and inspires anyone who meets her. "I respect fashion. If you dress well, you boost your self-esteem. Good self-esteem is the basis for us to do our jobs better." Sitting in her brand-new studio space in NYC surrounded by some of her colorful and exciting lingerie, she gestures with outstretched arms declaring her love for fashion and her fascination with the ritual of getting dressed up. "If you have passion in life," she says with a big smile, "you inspire those who do not have passion, and for me passion comes from how you feel about yourself and the world around you. Being dressed in clothing that reflects and underscores who you are is fuel to one's passions!"
